I just had the most ridiculous fucking trading experience…
So like, earlier today, I go into a trading server and buy trading cards for a rec each. This dude asks me if I buy profiles, and I say yes, figuring that maybe they’re worth a lot to someone. Neither of us know how much they’re worth, so we settle on a refined each.
Later, I’m checking up prices on them in the market, and they’re worth scrap and weapon prices. I instantly panic, because thats a HORRIBLE deal on both of our parts
I sent the guy a message saying that I wanted to trade back, and at first he’s like “okay cool, let me get out of MVM”
and then later when he gets out and I ask him, he starts dancing around the proposition, saying things like “just sell them for a ref each on a trade server to earn back your money”.
I tell him that of course I can’t do that, because I know that they’re not WORTH that much, and it would shatter the trust I try and share with my customers. (I try really really really super hard to make honest trades and set good prices, I only ever go over if I don’t know what the hell I’m selling or if the range lists it slightly higher than the norm on my favorite price checking places).
He puts up this long, huge stink about just selling them for what I made, and it’s transparently obvious he’s trying to talk me down and intimidate me and guilt me, and he’s getting more and more and more defensive and accusative, when FINALLY he tells me to trade him and then unfriend him afterwards
and when we get into the trade
he
refuses
the backgrounds
and insists I just take my 3 ref back
vocally and angrily
and I’m like “dude I can’t do that that’s not an honest trade at all” and he responds “TAKE YOUR REF AND KEEP YOUR BACKGROUNDS YOU FUCKING CHILD”
and I try to offer a sentry emoticon that I bought from him for a scrap for free and he gets even ANGRIER
and to make a long story short I’m three ref and three backgrounds richer and I need to sell off some uncertainty and discomfort. I sure as heck hope my trade reputation won’t be damaged by being forced into a shitty, dumb ass deal. I guess this is a good fish story for the trade servers…
almost-always-eventually-right:
Then, this one soldier who just wanted a cool photograph gets murdered by terrorists that are specifically targeting Tony Stark.
This was the moment that made Tony Stark reevaluate his entire life.
This was the moment that made Tony Stark cut the weapons program.
This was the moment that Tony Stark became Iron Man.
This was the moment that never truly left him.
Because it’s after this moment that Tony Stark proceeds to spend the rest of his life making peace-signs in photos, in honor of a young man who was more of a man than Tony could’ve ever dreamt of being; whose death Tony spent months agonizing over and trying to ensure wasn’t in vain.
Can you not what are you doing to my feels why are you always doing this.
nope.
